We loved the rainbow collage so much that I wanted to do something similar and with autumn being so prominent some collaged leaves seemed like a great idea.
| First we collected different shaped and coloured leaves |
| Then I drew around them, cut them out and painted them |
I had cut up some paper and pictures from magazines and found some other bits of fabric, craft felt, etc and sorted them into red, green, yellow and orange ready for Jake to stick on the leaves. I particularly liked the pictures of fruit and veg that Id cut out! :-)
| Then Jake got sticking with the coloured paper and other bits and bobs |
| It seemed like a perfect opportunity to use glitter! |
| Which was of course much better than the original activity (isnt it always?) |
They look lovely up on our wall among our paintings and wall art...and it was a great Autumnal activity that explored colours, textures, nature and shapes as well as developing fine motor skills and creativity.
Love love love leaves and oooh your final leaves look BEAUTIFUL! How very gorgeous.
