We have had a really lovely Christmassy weekend. We have visited Santa in his grotto, put our christmas tree up, made glittery ornaments, and went christmas shopping. We are making some of our christmas gifts this year, but I wanted to buy a few bits and it's always so nice to go into town with all the christmas lights and festivities going on.
We left quite late in the afternoon so it was already starting to get dark which meant the Christmas lights were even better, and Jake loved them, especially the enormous tree in the square. We headed straight to Boots, as I am participating in this shoppertunity from Social Fabric, where I can buy gifts from Boots and talk about it. I love the Boots 3 for 2 gift range; they have stuff for everyone and its always really great quality and value.
Poppy fell asleep in the sling :), so I could just about concentrate on shopping.
There was a huge range of things to choose from, and I didn't have a particular plan or gift recipient in mind, so I enjoyed browsing the shelves, and so did Jake.
he was "helping me" to shop, and naturally particularly enjoyed the toy aisle, and asking me if we needed batteries, chocolate, bubble bath, and so on...
... and we both enjoyed this section a lot. :)
Boots stock a huge range of toys - more than I realised, from baby toys up to teenagers with some lovely stationary and diaries. They of course have lots of make up and skin care sets, electronics, slippers and many more gifts. You can see what else we browsed in my google + album here.
Matt happily bought an electric shaver as a present to himself, I got a hairdryer, and I chose a Sanctuary skin care set for me (I am in need some R&R!).
As that was on the 3 for 2, I looked for other gifts in the range and found some super woolly welly socks for a friend,
and this gorgeous craft bucket for Jake's friend, which Im so excited to give her - I think she'll love it, especially the beautiful box!
The checkout was quick and easy, and the guy who served us was super friendly, he talked to Jake, showed us on the receipt that we had gained triple reward points and wished us a merry christmas. I love great customer service so left feeling happy and satisfied with our shop. :) You can follow Boots on facebook.
We continued on through town for some christmas tree lights and enjoyed the darkening evening atmosphere, which was made even better on the discovery of a christmas party tent. We then got fish and chips and went home to decorate our tree. A great Saturday afternoon, and a few more things ticked off our Christmas bucket list!
