Small World - Reptiles!

We made this small world play activity really easily with some brown rice, bergamot wheat, plant clippings, stones and little animal figures.

It was a bit of a spur of the moment idea I had while we were mooching around the garden; Jake had taken an interest in the little plants in the rockery so I decided to bring him in a few clippings to investigate. His pot of animals was already out so the two things naturally went together.

Jake asked for a pond for his frog too, so of course I obliged!

When Jake had finished playing, I re-did the play tray with some more thought to use again! I have to say I think it looks fab! A great free, sensory, imaginative activity! We'll definitely be doing some more so look out for more Small World posts!
