Puffy Paint

I saw this posted on Play at Home Mum and had to have a go. We used this recipe to make the paint:

  • 1 Tbsp self rising flour
  • a few drops of food coloring
  • 1 Tbsp salt and then add water to make a smooth paste.
The process of this activity was definitely better than the results - for Jake anyway (he was about 23 months when we did this - I imagine when he's a bit older the outcome will be just as exciting).

Painting with cotton buds

hands in is much more fun tho!

the drippy paint is fascinating

Mess = Fun!?!

Microwaved for about 30 seconds

As with all painting activities this was great for developing creativity, expression, colour recognition, mark making skills (dexterity and coordination) and exploring textures and it was lots of fun!!
