I saw this posted on Play at Home Mum and had to have a go. We used this recipe to make the paint:
- 1 Tbsp self rising flour
- a few drops of food coloring
- 1 Tbsp salt and then add water to make a smooth paste.
The process of this activity was definitely better than the results - for Jake anyway (he was about 23 months when we did this - I imagine when he's a bit older the outcome will be just as exciting).

Microwaved for about 30 seconds |
As with all painting activities this was great for developing creativity, expression, colour recognition, mark making skills (dexterity and coordination) and exploring textures and it was lots of fun!!
